Job summary

Med Ninjas is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13-week assignment in Saint Joseph, Missouri. The role is 40 hours per week with 8-hour daytime shifts in a skilled nursing/post-acute setting.

You will develop and implement treatment plans for swallowing, cognition, and communication, lead SLP services, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with nursing and medical staff to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications

• MO State SLP license required and CCC certification.
• Valid driver's license required and license maintenance ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive, and communication abilities.
• Utilize communication techniques to enhance expressive and receptive language skills.
• Lead, guide, and direct speech language pathology services within the facility.
• Ensure services comply with regulations and facility policies.
• Provide care to residents in short-term rehab and long-term care settings.
• Collaborate with nursing, doctors, and other therapy team members.
• Treat diverse patient populations with various cognitive, dietary, and neurological diagnoses.
• Work in a busy, high-energy skilled nursing and post-acute environment.
• Maintain knowledge of nursing home regulations and guidelines.
• Participate in building and improving therapy programming for the facility.
