Job summary

TotalMed Allied seeks a travel Speech-Language Pathologist for a 12-week assignment in Hamilton, Montana. The role is a travel position requiring 40 hours per week, with 8-hour day shifts. 1 year of experience is preferred, though 6 months may be considered for exceptional candidates.

BLS and ASHA-SLP certification with state licensure are required. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders, educating patients and families, and maintaining timely

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience required; exceptional candidates with relevant background may be considered with 6 months.
• Must have BLS and ASHA-SLP National Certification with state licensing.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat, and prevent speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Create treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
• Perform screenings to detect voice or speech disorders.
• Educate patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
• Report progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
• Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
