Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Sleep Technician for a travel assignment in Medford, Oregon. Overnight shifts are typically 10–12 hours, with duties including patient preparation, data collection, and study scoring under physician oversight.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of Sleep Technician experience, a current BLS certification, and RPSGT certification. State licensure may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Sleep Technician experience.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• RPSGT National Certification (BRPT) preferred.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for overnight polysomnographic studies by explaining procedures and attaching monitoring equipment.
• Monitor patients' physiological responses during sleep using EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory and oximetry equipment.
• Identify and respond to sleep-related events such as apneas, hypopneas, and arousals.
• Ensure accurate data collection and documentation throughout the study.
• Score sleep studies and generate preliminary reports for physician review (if credentialed).
• Maintain and calibrate sleep lab equipment and ensure patient safety.
• Follow infection control and privacy standards.
• Work overnight shifts, typically 10-12 hours in duration.
