Job summary

Portland Utilities Construction Co., LLC is seeking experienced Construction Laborers in the Knoxville, TN area. You will work on sewer pipe repair and rehab operations, supporting the foreman and skilled workers to meet project goals while traveling Monday through Friday.

Starting pay ranges from $22 to $30 per hour, depending on experience, with a 4,000 USD sign-on bonus for CDL holders and additional bonuses for non-CDL hires. On-the-job training is provided and full benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• CDL-A license and a clean driving record are required.
• Experience with underground utility construction or similar is a plus.
• Willingness to travel Monday–Friday and work away from home.

Responsibilities

• Perform sewer pipe repair and rehab tasks.
• Support foreman and crew to meet project goals.
• Locate pipes, install, and test by following safety procedures.
• Operate basic hand tools and small power tools as needed.
• Assist with equipment loading/unloading and site cleanup.
