TotalMed Allied seeks a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position in San Diego, CA. The role requires 1 year of acute care experience and NBRC-RRT, BLS, ACLS (PALS/NRP may be required in some locations).

You will deliver direct patient care for pediatric patients, including evaluations and treatments per guidelines. You will work 12-hour night shifts across a 36-hour week in a travel assignment lasting 13 weeks, with duties spanning equipment

Qualifications

• NBRC-RRT certification required.
• BLS, ACLS required.
• PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
• 1 year of acute care experience required.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in various clinical areas.
• Perform evaluations and treatments per procedural guidelines.
• Maintain patient records and documentation.
• Assemble, calibrate, and maintain respiratory and cardiology equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and staff to optimize continuity of care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.

We're looking for a Pediatric Registered Respiratory Therapist (Peds-RRT) for an immediate travel position opening in San Diego, CA. The right Peds-RRT must have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Read below for additional requirements.

As a Peds-RRT, you will provide direct patient care to patients in a variety of clinical areas, including evaluations and treatments according to procedural guidelines.

As a Peds-RRT, you should be prepared to perform the following tasks:

• Administer to patients a variety of simple and complex respiratory and cardiology modalities.
• Maintains appropriate patient records/documentation.
• Cleans, disinfects, assembles, calibrates, maintains respiratory and cardiology equipment and accessories. Evaluates equipment for proper and safe function. Reports malfunctions to director.
• Performs arterial puncture and analyzes sample according to procedure guidelines.
• Interacts with co-workers, nurses, physicians, other hospital personnel to optimize continuum of care for patient being treated.
• Responds to emergent situations that could require Respiratory support.

Peds-RRTs should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty. Peds-RRTs should be able to easily lift 20 pounds. Moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times. Peds-RRTs must have specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Must have 1 year of experience. Must have NBRC-RRT, BLS, and ACLS. PALS and NRP may be required in some areas.
