Flagstar Nursing is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a PICU assignment in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves pediatric critical care ventilation management and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an RRT with NBRC, 2+ years in pediatric care, and BLS/PALS certification. This travel position offers 13 weeks of exposure with night shifts and weekly pay, along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy is required.
  • Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, preferably in pediatric ICU or NICU.
  • Current NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
  • Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) credential strongly preferred.
  • BLS and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage complex mechanical ventilation for critically ill pediatric patients, including ARDS, bronchiolitis, sepsis, and post-op respiratory failure.
  • Assist with pediatric intubation, extubation, and HFOV under pediatric intensivists.
  • Perform respiratory assessments and implement weaning protocols.
  • Collaborate during interdisciplinary PICU rounds and discuss treatment plans with families.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to clinical protocols.
