Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for assignment in Metairie, Louisiana. The role requires 12-hour night shifts, 48 hours per week, and a 12-week contract to support a client in Metairie, LA.

Travel RRTs provide critical respiratory care, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and ensure patient safety while supporting a crisis-response environment. Compensation reflects travel staffing norms and licensing reimbursements may apply.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation; promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients/families
