Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Barrow, AK. The RT will provide advanced respiratory care, collaborate with physicians, and support critical care patients in a travel capacity.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of RRT experience, NBRC RRT credential, state license, and current BLS. Benefits include competitive pay, insurance, PTO, and 401(k). This position requires independence and strong teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the NBRC.
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples.
• Treat patients through methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications.
• Set up and monitor oxygen delivery at the correct rate.
• Observe and record patient status and progress.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Educate patients and/or family members on medications and equipment use.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of RRT practice.
