Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist in Austin, TX to support patient care during a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts. Responsibilities include evaluating patients, administering respiratory therapy, documenting care, and collaborating with physicians and nurses.

Travel assignments with competitive pay and benefits are offered. Contract assignment includes licensing reimbursements, health insurance eligibility, and 401K matching, with crisis rate

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patient and recommend a treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Document care timely and accurately.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Educate and counsel patients and families.

Connaissances

Respiratory Therapist experience

CPR/BCLS certified

ACLS/PALS/NALS/NRP preferred

Excellent communication
