Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Altoona, PA. The role involves providing advanced respiratory care in a travel capacity, with 40 hours per week and 8-hour shifts.

The position requires an RRT credential, state license, BLS, and one year of recent RRT experience. You will work with a collaborative clinical team, enjoy competitive pay and full benefits, and have support throughout the travel assignment.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• NBRC credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples.
• Treat patients with methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications.
• Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery.
• Observe and record patient status and progress.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Educate patients and/or families on medications and equipment use.
• Perform other duties as assigned within RRT scope.
