Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist for a Springfield, MA assignment. The 13-week contract features 12-hour day shifts, providing respiratory care and developing patient plans in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other therapists.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years of experience, current CPR/BCLS, and strong communication skills. Travel roles offer competitive packages, licensing reimbursement, and healthcare benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
