Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Respiratory Therapist for Saint Louis, Missouri to join our team on a 13‑week contract. The role involves 36 hours per week with 12-hour days, supporting patient care in a hospital setting as part of the respiratory care team.

Ideal candidates will have proven Respiratory Therapist experience, current CPR/BCLS, and willingness to meet credentialing requirements. We offer health insurance, licensing reimbursement, 401K matching, and statewide staffing

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan.
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Performing timely and accurate documentation.
• Promoting continuous quality improvement.
• Teaching and counseling patients/families.
