Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Peoria, IL. The role is 36 hours per week with nights on a 12-hour shift, starting 11/16/2026.

You will provide advanced respiratory care, collaborate with physicians, and support care teams in ICU/ER settings. NBRC RRT credential and IL licensure required, along with current BLS.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• RRT credential from the NBRC.
• Valid respiratory therapy license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop patient treatment plans.
• Examine and interview patients with breathing and/or cardiopulmonary disorders.
• Perform diagnostic tests, such as measuring lung capacity or collecting blood/sputum samples.
• Treat patients through methods including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications.
• Set up and monitor equipment to ensure correct oxygen delivery.
• Observe and record patient status and progress.
• Educate patients and/or family on medication use and equipment.
