Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Fort Myers, Florida. The role features a 13-week contract, 36 hours per week, with nights on a 12-hour shift schedule and travel employment status.

Responsibilities include delivering respiratory care, developing patient care plans with the multidisciplinary team, and documenting care thoroughly. Requirements include respiratory therapy experience and CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain CPR/BCLS certification current.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred.
• Excellent communication with staff, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient and recommend a treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex conditions.
• Perform insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Complete timely and accurate documentation.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Teach and counsel patients and families.
