Job summary

Focus Staff is seeking a Traveling Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Columbia, South Carolina. The RRT will deliver respiratory care and collaborate with physicians and nurses to support patient safety and quality care. Travel position, 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Respiratory Therapist.
• Maintain current CPR or BCLS certification.
• BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NALS, or NRP preferred
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patient and recommends a treatment plan
• Providing respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions
• Performing insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes
• Performing timely and accurate documentation
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Teaching and counseling patients/families
