Job summary

TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Registered Respiratory Therapist for a travel assignment in Charlottesville, Virginia. The position requires 1 year of acute care experience and certifications including BLS and NBRC, with a 13‑week duration and 36 hours per week on a 12‑hour night shift.

You will provide direct patient care, perform respiratory and cardiology procedures, and ensure equipment is properly calibrated and documented.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS may be required; PALS/NRP may be required in some areas.
• NBRC certification required; additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory and cardiology modalities to patients.
• Maintain patient records/documentation.
• Clean, disinfect, assemble, calibrate, and maintain equipment; report malfunctions.
• Perform arterial puncture and analyze samples per guidelines.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and other staff to optimize care.
• Respond to emergent situations requiring respiratory support.
