American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring a CA RN license and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Cares for cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, and neurological/genitourinary patient populations
• Every other weekend required
• Potential floating to other units as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills in IV therapy, central/peripheral line management, and blood product administration
• Experience with cardiac drip management and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration
• 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide telemetry-level nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and rapid response/code team coordination
• Manage patients with CVA, seizure disorders, and substance withdrawal needs
• Perform pre/post cardiac catheterization care and pacemaker management
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
• Returning employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
