Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel RN for a Stepdown unit in Newburgh, Indiana. The role focuses on providing specialized care to cardiac, neuro, and surgical patients with 12-hour days and a 36-hour work week.

The position requires BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications, an associate degree or certificate, and a compact RN license. Two years of RN experience, including step-down and travel, is expected, with trauma Level II preferred.

Qualifications

• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Active compact license.
• 2 years RN experience with 1+ year on step-down, plus travel assignment.
• Trauma Level II experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret tele and 12-lead EKGs and titrate drips (antiarrhythmics, Heparin, Insulin).
• Perform post-surgical assessment and neuro assessments.
• Conduct dysphagia screening and manage cardiac and neuro patients.
• May participate in bi-weekly orientation and cross-campus float with notice.
