TotalMed RN in Washington, DC is seeking a travel Radiology RN to support cancer care teams. The role requires at least one year of Radiation Therapist experience and a current BLS certificate with ARRT (T) credentials. State licensure may be needed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist.
• Current BLS certification and ARRT (T) National Certification.
• State licensure may be required.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed doses of radiation to specific body parts using radiation therapy equipment.
• Position patients accurately and comfortably for each treatment session.
• Verify treatment settings and patient identity before delivering therapy.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Use imaging technology (e.g., CT, X-rays) to guide accurate treatment delivery.
• Document treatment details and maintain accurate patient records.
• Communicate with physicians, dosimetrists, and other team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, side effects, and care during treatment.
• Inspect, maintain, and calibrate radiation therapy equipment regularly.
• Follow strict radiation safety protocols for both patients and staff.
