Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Travel Nurse RN PICU for a Pediatric Intensive Care unit in Charlotte, North Carolina. The assignment is 13 weeks long, with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts, and a travel employment arrangement.

The role requires an active NC or compact RN license, BLS and PALS, and at least 2 years of high-acuity PICU experience. You will work in a Level 1 Trauma Center with 24 beds and a 2:1 to 1:2 nurse-patient ratio, using EPIC EMR.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active NC or compact RN license.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years high-acuity PICU experience.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and listed medical devices.

Responsibilities

• Staff in a Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center with 24 beds, census 21–23.
• Care for high-acuity pediatric patients across CVICU, NICU and general pediatrics.
• Manage vasoactive drips, invasive lines, chest tubes, feeds.
• Float to CVICU, Neonatal PCU, NICU as needed.
• Work 12-hour day shifts; 3 days/week; 6-week rotation; 75% holiday coverage.
• Utilize EPIC EMR and bedside equipment; participate in rounds.
