Job summary

Talented Medical Solutions is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Telemetry Float Pool in Tucson, Arizona. This 13-week assignment requires strong cardiac monitoring and the ability to care for patients on drips in a fast-paced environment.

Shift is Days, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with three 12-hour shifts per week. Float between departments and locations as needed. Minimum two years of nursing experience, BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Qualifications

• PCU, step-down, or telemetry nursing experience.
• Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills.
• Ability to safely manage and monitor cardiac drips.

Pay Rate: $1,744–$1,944 per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry Float Pool position in beautiful Tucson, Arizona! This 13-week assignment is ideal for a skilled nurse who thrives in a fast-paced cardiac care environment, enjoys variety in their work, and is confident caring for patients who require a higher level of monitoring and specialized nursing care.

The PCU is a step-down unit from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), caring for patients who need close observation and advanced cardiac monitoring but may no longer require full ICU-level care. Candidates must be comfortable managing cardiac drips, monitoring complex cardiac patients, and recognizing changes in patient condition.

Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Hours: Three 12-hour shifts per week

Contract: 13 weeks

Department: PCU/Telemetry Float Pool

Floating: Must be willing to float between departments and other facility locations as needed.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience

Current BLS certification

Current ACLS certification

PCU, step-down, or telemetry nursing experience

Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills

Ability to safely manage and monitor cardiac drips

Flexibility to float between departments and facility locations

Clinical Experience & Skills

Candidates should be comfortable with:

Caring for patients transitioning from ICU-level care

Continuous cardiac monitoring and telemetry interpretation

Managing cardiac drips and monitoring hemodynamic status

Recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition

Caring for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions

Familiarity with TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) procedures and post-procedure care

Familiarity with WATCHMAN procedures and post-procedure monitoring

Familiarity with MitraClip procedures and post-procedure care

The ideal candidate is adaptable, clinically confident, and ready to provide excellent patient care in a dynamic float pool environment.
