Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Birmingham, Alabama. This 13-week assignment requires a 36-hour workweek with 12-hour shifts.

The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license, a nursing degree, and a BLS certification, plus 18 months of recent PCU/step-down experience. Travel reimbursement and housing options are provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification.
• 18 months of recent experience in an Acute Care PCU/Step-down setting.
• Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs, signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes in the patient's condition. Uses nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Collects, analyzes, and interprets data and documents actual and/or potential nursing diagnoses.
• Documents the patient's plan of care using identified nursing diagnoses, expected outcomes, and interventions.
• Initiates and evaluates patient and/or family education.
• Revises and documents the plan of care according to evaluation and changes in medical plan.
