Requirements include an active RN license, accredited nursing degree, and BLS certification, plus 18 months of recent PCU/Step-down experience.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient needs and uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Collects, analyzes, and documents data and nursing diagnoses.
• Documents the plan of care with expected outcomes and interventions.
• Initiates and evaluates patient and family education.
• Revises the care plan according to evaluations and changes in medical conditions.
