Qualifications

• RN with appropriate licensure and certifications.
• Minimum of 1 year acute care experience in a hospital setting.
• Current state nursing license and required certifications for the position.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and compliance policies.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan of care including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care; document care.
• Monitor patient status and communicate findings to care team, physicians, patient, and family.
• Coordinate across disciplines for patient transfers, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluate patient/family learning needs and provide education appropriate to age and culture.
• Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
