Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Olathe, Kansas. This PCU RN role requires 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and offers a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities include patient monitoring, IV management, medication administration, and rapid response to evolving conditions. ACLS/BLS are required with additional certifications potentially requested.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care for PCU patients.
• Stabilize cardiac patients and monitor vitals.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, report adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret equipment displays and respond to abnormal readings.
