Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Glendale, Arizona. The RN will work 12-hour night shifts on a 13-week assignment, with 36 hours per week, in the PCU.

1–2 years of acute care experience and certifications (ACLS, BLS, NIH) are required. The role includes bedside care, monitoring critical patients, and potential lifting requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS and NIH certifications required
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience
• Additional certifications may be required

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust equipment, interpret displays, and report abnormalities.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
• Stand/walk long periods, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Lift 20 lbs routinely; may lift up to 50 lbs when moving patients.
• Thrive in fast-paced, diverse patient populations.
