Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel RN for the PCU in Homewood, AL. The role involves a 13-week assignment on a 12-hour night shift, with 36 hours per week and a focus on progressive care nursing.

The candidate should have a Stepdown RN background, current RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. PCCN and NIHSS are preferred; a strong telemetry skill set and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams are essential.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data; respond to abnormalities
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac procedures
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education focused on cardiac health and lifestyle changes
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
