Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN to join the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Natchez, Mississippi, for a 13-week assignment starting ASAP. The position features 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights, and a travel contract in a hospital setting.

Candidates must hold an MS or compact RN license and have at least 1 year of PCU or step-down experience. Per diem, stipends, and comprehensive benefits are provided from day one.

Qualifications

• Active MS or compact RN license required (if provided).
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU or step down nursing experience required.
• Certifications must be valid for at least the first 30 days of the assignment.
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
• No former permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years.
• Local travelers within a 50-mile radius are not eligible for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Step Down unit of a hospital setting.
• Night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Care for patients requiring progressive care monitoring.
• Provide direct nursing care for PCU patients during night shifts.
• Requests for time off must be less than one week in duration.
• First-time travelers will be considered.
• Must adhere to hospital policies and step down unit protocols.
