Job summary

TotalMed RN in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel nurse for an initial 13-week assignment. The RN will work 48 hours per week, on day shifts, in a fast-paced PCU environment. Required: 1-2 years of acute care experience along with BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.

The PCU RN will monitor cardiac patients, perform bedside care, and manage IVs and medications while coordinating with the care team. This role offers travel-friendly benefits through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications required.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
