American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift assignment in Augusta, GA.

OCN certification and 2 years oncology experience are required, with Epic charting experience and BLS/OCN certifications necessary for consideration. Responsibilities include managing a 1:6 ratio on a 19-bed unit, handling oncologic emergencies, chemo precautions, and ensuring high-quality patient care across the full spectrum from diagnosis to end of life.

Qualifications

• Active RN license GA or Compact required at time of consideration.
• BLS and OCN certification required; chemo certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• IV therapy/infusions, port access and management, blood/blood product administration, and central/implanted line care.
• Chemotherapy administration, monitoring, and body fluid handling post-chemotherapy.
• Knowledge of neutropenic precautions.

Responsabilités

• Inpatient oncology unit within a hospital setting.
• Adult to geriatric patients with oncology diagnoses from diagnosis to end of life care.
• Manages oncologic emergencies and chemo precautions (morphine, dilaudid, CADD, PCA).
• 1:6 patient ratio on a 19-bed unit with ~15 census.
• Uses Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR communication.
• Night shift, 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Works every other weekend; occasional floating within facility or nearby campus.
• No on-call requirements.
