The Oncology RN will evaluate, plan, implement and document care for cancer patients in hospital and outpatient settings, with potential chemotherapy and infusion support and patient education. Requires active RN license and 18+ years old.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in state practicing
• One (1) year of experience in oncology nursing preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• The Oncology Registered Nurse evaluates, plans, implements and documents nursing care for the oncology patient population.
• The Oncology Registered Nurse works in hospitals and outpatient care centers where patients receive cancer treatments.
• In hospital settings, assists with surgery prep, patient education and coordination of cancer treatments.
• In outpatient care center settings, helps with treatments such as chemotherapy and infusions while monitoring vitals, side effects, and pain.
