Qualifications

• Experience administering chemotherapy and oncology treatments is a nice to have.
• Experience in outpatient oncology or infusion center is a nice to have.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients in outpatient infusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients in an outpatient infusion setting.
• Assess patients' health conditions, review medical histories, and monitor vital signs before, during, and after treatment.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and infusions in accordance with facility protocols and nursing standards.
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, treatment-related complications, and changes in clinical condition.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medication management, potential side effects, and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Follow infection prevention practices, medication safety guidelines, and established oncology nursing protocols.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families throughout the cancer treatment process.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent oncology nursing experience within the specialty.
• Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Active RN license or eligibility to practice in Georgia, as applicable.
• Experience in oncology, outpatient infusion, or cancer treatment settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, documentation, and patient education skills.
• Nice to have: Chemotherapy certification.
• Nice to have: Previous experience administering chemotherapy and other oncology treatments.
• Nice to have: Experience working in an outpatient oncology or infusion center.
