Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for Labor & Delivery in Lake Charles, LA, on a night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) for 13 weeks. The role requires active Louisiana RN license or compact, BLS/ACLS/NRP, and fetal monitoring certification (AWHONN or NCC EFM).

Responsibilities include labor/delivery care, newborn assessing post-delivery, and adherence to facility nurse-to-patient ratios. Perinatal experience preferred; BSN encouraged.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Louisiana or compact facility.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.
• Certification in AWHONN FHM or NCC EFM.
• 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.
• Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal setting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Labor and Delivery RN caring for deliveries and antepartum patients.
• Provide newborn assessments after delivery.
• Night shift 7:00 PM–7:00 AM; 36 hours/week.
• No on-call and no floating.
• Follow specified nurse-to-patient ratios for obstetric care.
