Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Travel RN for a Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit assignment in North Carolina. The role is nights, 3x12s, 36 hours per week, start ASAP, for 13 weeks with 1 opening. Neonatal care not required but Neuro/Trauma experience preferred and NIHSS certification required.

Unit is 44 beds, with 4:1 patient ratios on average; uses Cerner EMR. RN license with NC/Compact, ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications needed. Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) required.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Neuro and Trauma Care experience required.
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required.
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and TLSO brace application.
• Assist with chest tube management, PCA pump administration, IV infusions.
• Support lumbar drain management, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions.
• Float to Stepdown and Med-Surg units as needed.
