Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Pulmonary position in Sioux Falls, SD on straight night shifts.

The assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week, 12-hour nights, and a focus on pulmonary care, ventilators, chest tubes, and complex respiratory needs.

ACLS and BLS required; SD or compact RN license; Epic EMR used; travel bonuses and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Active SD or compact RN license required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (AHA).
• Minimum of 2 years recent med/surg/telemetry RN experience.
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, oxygen titration, and cardiac telemetry monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with acute respiratory and complex medical needs in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.
• Manage ventilators, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and moderate sedation monitoring.
• Navigate unit with a 1:4–6 nurse-to-patient ratio depending on shift.
• Document using Epic EMR and participate in orientation and preceptor-based training.
