Job summary
Healthforce is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week Med Surg Tele travel assignment in Ida Grove, IA. Start date 11/01/2026. Day shift, 36 hours weekly, guaranteed. Travel-friendly, hospital setting, travel assignment.
You will provide direct patient care to adult telemetry patients, monitor status, administer meds, collaborate with the care team, and prepare patients for discharge.
Qualifications
- Active RN license to practice in Iowa or eligible for a multi-state license.
- BLS certification is required.
- Ability to work a day shift in a hospital setting and adapt to a travel assignment.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult medical-surgical telemetry patients during day shifts.
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, intake/output, and response to treatments; document findings promptly.
- Administer medications and therapies as ordered; assist with procedures as needed.
- Maintain telemetry monitoring where appropriate and elevate concerns to the care team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and therapy services to plan and implement care.
- Prepare patients for discharge and provide education to patients and families to support safe transitions.
