Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Springfield, Oregon. The shift is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, 3x12s, with 36 hours per week. Experience in Med/Surg acute care and prior travel work is required. EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Openings: 8. The role includes no on-call requirements and potential floating to related units within the health system. Compensation includes per-week pay with lodging and meals stipends, and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Active Oregon RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS, NIHSS, and Chemo certifications preferred
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg acute care experience
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills required
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management skills preferred
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and PICC line management required
• Two professional references from within the past 2 years
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Med/Surg Tele unit with cardiac monitoring
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy and line care as needed
• Manage dysrhythmia and emergency responses as required
• May float to related Med/Surg units and campus within the health system
