Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit night shift position in Johnson City, Tennessee. The assignment is 13 weeks long with 48 hours per week and three or four 12-hour night shifts, with no on-call duties.

Requirements include an active TN or compact RN license, 1 year of experience, and AHA BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications. Orientation begins Sundays, with onboarding details provided beforehand.

Qualifications

• Active TN or compact RN license required at the time of consideration.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med/Surg or PCU.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Competency in PCU and Med/Surg settings; able to work night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a hospital setting.
• Maintain patient ratios up to 1:7 when floated to Med/Surg.
• Night shifts with three or four 12-hour shifts per week (18:30–07:00).
• No on-call responsibilities and floating to Med/Surg as needed.
• Support nursing students and participate in clinical education.
• Complete orientation on Sundays with online learning modules.
