Job summary

Sentara Leigh Hospital in Norfolk, VA is seeking a Travel Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Hematology Unit (5 West) on the night shift. This 14-week temporary assignment offers a pay rate of $65.00 per hour and requires an active Virginia or Compact license, BLS, and at least two years of acute care RN experience.

You will care for a variety of medical diagnoses, including CHF, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, diabetes, and stroke, with a 5–6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio in a brand-new 24-bed unit.

Qualifications

• Requires Nursing degree/diploma and active Virginia or Compact multi-state license.
• BLS certification required; NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for diverse Med/Surg Hematology patients in a 24-bed unit.
• Manage high-acuity conditions with telemetry monitoring and complex medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
