Job summary

Healthforce is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a dual Med/Surg and ER assignment in Cozad, NE. This contract role requires flexibility, strong bedside skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have Med/Surg and ER experience, a Nebraska or compact license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC certifications. Housing options are available near the hospital campus, supporting a smooth transition to the assignment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
• Current, active RN license in Nebraska or compact/NLC state.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC required; NRP and NIHSS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete patient assessments and monitor vital signs, labs, and responses to treatment.
• Administer medications, injections, IV therapies, wound care, dressing changes, and specimen collection.
• Manage patient care across Med/Surg and ER, prioritizing based on acuity.
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and case managers to develop care plans and discharge plans.
• Document treatments and assessments in the TruBridge EHR.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment steps, and post-discharge care.
