American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Medical Surgical RN for a secured, at-risk patient unit in Missouri. Requires 2+ years of RN experience and an active MO or Compact RN license. High demands include 4x12 hour day shifts and mandatory floating to MS/Tele units.

The position offers travel benefits with housing allowances and per diem options. A fast-paced teaching-hospital environment with safety features and on-site orientation is included.

Qualifications

• Active MO or Compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted).
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• CPI (Blue Card) certification preferred; if required for Behavioral Health RNs, can be pending at start and completed onsite.
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in Integrated Medicine, a 24-bed max capacity med-surg unit focused on at-risk patients.
• Unit features enhanced safety measures including whole-unit video monitoring, ligature alarms, anti-barricade doors, and badge-secured entrance.
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours (7:00 AM to 7:30 PM).
• Friday-Sunday block scheduling available, with 36 or 48 hour/week options discussed during interview.
• Patient ratio of 1:5.
• Cerner charting system preferred but not required.
• Mandatory floating required, including to MS/Tele units and as a Patient Observer (sitter).
• On-call responsibilities and weekend work required.
• Rotating shifts, holiday coverage, and work during inclement weather required.
• Provide direct patient care to at-risk medical-surgical patients in a secured unit environment.
