Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital in Fargo, ND. Must hold an active ND license and have relevant Med/Surg and Level 1 trauma experience.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, medications, and unit float among Sanford Medical Centers. Epic EMR experience mandatory; neuro experience preferred. Travel nurses eligible for housing allowances and travel reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Active ND or Compact RN license required.
• Current BLS (AHA) and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg nursing experience required.
• Experience in a large hospital setting (200+ beds) required.
• Level 1 trauma experience required.
• Prior travel nursing experience with successful assignments required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Neuro patient experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Acute care Med/Surg Neuro unit (6AB) in a Level 1 trauma hospital.
• 32-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 4-5:1 on days and 6:1 on nights.
• 12-hour weekend day shifts only, including every other holiday.
• Floating required to any Med/Surg unit across all 3 Sanford Medical Centers in Fargo.
• Uses Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps.
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration.
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
