Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for Long Term Acute Care in Wichita, Kansas. This LTAC travel assignment runs 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts. Active RN license, accredited nursing degree, and BLS/ACLS are required.

Experience in LTAC settings (18 months) and familiarity with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes, and telemetry are essential. Benefits include housing options, health insurance, and travel reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• Degree from accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 18 months of LTAC nursing experience.
• Experience with vents, trachs, drips, EG tubes and telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for 5–6 LTAC patients.
• Administer medications and monitor patient status.
• Start IVs and manage catheterizations as needed.
• Educate patients and families on procedures and care.
• Monitor telemetry and notify team of irregularities.
• Care for patients with pulmonary HTN, COPD, CHF, A-Fib.
