Magnet Medical is seeking a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) in Bismarck, ND for a 13-week contract with nights (3x12h). The RN will provide comprehensive obstetric care, manage labor, delivery, and postpartum care, and collaborate with the obstetric team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective care for mothers and newborns.

Aufgaben

• Pre-Labor and Admission Assessment: assess health, gather histories, vitals and perform physical assessments.
• Labor Support and Monitoring: monitor labor progress, administer medications, provide emotional support.
• Assisting with Delivery: assist vaginal deliveries, support cesarean procedures, provide newborn care.
• Postpartum Care: monitor mother/newborn postpartum, support breastfeeding, educate on recovery and infant care.
• Documentation and Reporting: record assessments/interventions in the EHR and maintain records.
• Collaboration and Communication: coordinate with obstetricians/anesthesiologists/neonatologists; ensure informed consent.
• Infection Control and Safety: follow sterile technique and equipment sterilization during labor and delivery.
• Emergency and High-Risk Situations: recognize complications and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Patient Education and Advocacy: educate families and advocate for informed decisions.
