Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a Labor and Delivery RN for a 22-week travel assignment in Hackensack, NJ. The role offers opportunities to care for mothers and newborns in a busy obstetric unit, with a focus on safety and compassionate care.

This travel position includes 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits through Fusion. Start date is ASAP, with ongoing clinical support from a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.

Responsibilities

• Explain labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing protocols.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and stabilize mother and newborn.
• Educate patients on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists and neonatologists.
