Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery travel RN for a 13-week assignment in Smyrna, TN. The role involves obstetric patient care, fetal monitoring, and collaboration with the obstetric care team.

This position offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and the support of a dedicated clinical staff. You must have 1 year of L&D RN experience, valid RN license, BLS, NRP, and preferred certifications.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
• Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
• Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and other team members to deliver cohesive care.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
• Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret results.
• Assist in cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures.
• Comply with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
