Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Newport, Vermont. The role focuses on obstetric care from labor through postpartum, with opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team and provide patient-centered care.
The position requires an RN license, BLS and NRP certifications, and one year of Labor and Delivery experience. Competitive pay, benefits, and travel support are provided.
Qualifications
- One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
- NRP Certification.
Responsibilities
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in obstetric nursing techniques.
- Prepare equipment and aid physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
- Provide immediate postpartum care, including assessment and stabilization of mother and newborn.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Document patient care, assessments, and interventions in the medical record.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
