Job summary
Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN for Labor & Delivery in Devils Lake, ND. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts. Start Date: 10/26/2026.
You will provide obstetric patient care, monitor fetal status, administer treatments, and collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists and neonatologists to ensure safe, high-quality care. Qualifications
- One year of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience.
- Current RN license compliant with state regulations.
- Active BLS certification (AHA/ARC) and NRP certification.
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred.
- STABLE and ACLS Certifications preferred.
Responsibilities
- Communicate labor and delivery procedures to patients and families.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing techniques.
- Prepare equipment and assist physician during labor, delivery, and examination of patients.
- Provide immediate postpartum care including mother and newborn assessment.
- Educate patients and families on postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists and other team members.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
- Document patient care and assessments in the medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement to enhance maternal and neonatal outcomes.
