Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Labor and Delivery RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Abington, PA. The role offers 36 hours per week and 12-hour day shifts, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits through Fusion’s travel program.

You will assess maternal and fetal health, collaborate with the care team, and ensure safe, high-quality obstetric care from labor through the immediate postpartum period.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as a Labor and Delivery RN.
• Valid RN license in good standing with state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).
• NRP Certification required or current.

Responsibilities

• Communicate labor and delivery procedures clearly to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per obstetric nursing practices.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during labor and delivery.
• Provide immediate postpartum care and newborn assessment.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and teams to ensure care quality.
• Document care and interventions accurately in medical records.
• Respond to obstetric emergencies using evidence-based protocols.
