Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced registered nurse for an Interventional Radiology position in Alabama. The role requires ICU care skills and moderate sedation experience at a Level II Trauma Center.

Responsibilities include procedures across IR, patient monitoring with Cerner EMR, and on-call duties. Travel nurses with at least 1 year of experience or 2 years if new to travel are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (AL or compact).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Minimum 1 year of travel nursing experience or at least 2 years if first-time traveler.

Responsibilities

• Work in Interventional Radiology with 7 pre/post bays and 2 procedural suites.
• Perform outpatient and inpatient procedures including biopsies, kyphoplasties, ports, diagnostic angiograms and interventional procedures.
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:1 in procedure rooms and up to 1:3 in pre/post areas.
• Operate Cerner EMR, Plum 360 pumps, Omnicell dispensing, and Spacelabs monitors.
• Unit open Mon-Fri 6:30A-4:30P with 24/7 emergencies; on-call every 4th weekend and one night weekly.
• Shift options: 4x10s with rotating day off or 3x12s with rotating days off.
• Floating limited to cath lab pre/post when skillset applies.
